Yet again this year, we are sending out a blank Mad Lib for the fun-loving word nerds among you to create your very own version of a Boyd holiday letter. But if you’re curious about the “official” version, read on.

The factual version
Kicking off 2024 we traveled together to Boston where Ann and Jon taught at a writing workshop for professors. One particular, delicious, memorable, etc. highlight there: the ice creams, cinnamon rolls (at Flour), doughnuts (at Union Square Donuts), lobster rolls, etc (we like to eat). Lucy, age 18, and Rosie, age 16, performed in their high school production of The Lion King before Lucy graduated in June. Then we took a family trip to Switzerland where we enjoyed hiking in the mountains, rode lots of trains, buses, and boats (but mostly trains), visited a typewriter museum, and the girls even saw Taylor Swift live in concert. This fall Lucy enjoyed her first classes (and pretty much everything else) at Wheaton College, while Rosie embraces the challenge of four Advanced Placement courses. Jon acquired & developed some two dozen books for IVP Academic, and Ann entered a spiritual director training program. We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year!
