The factual version
We started 2023 while on an epic, amazing, best-ever (many adjectives apply, so you name it!) trip to London. Soon after, we flew to San Francisco where Ann was honored for her 25 years with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Rosie and Lucy turned 15 and 17 in the spring while they rehearsed and performed in the school musical, The Addams Family. Jon’s love of typewriting only increases; he and Lucy even attended a three-day typewriter festival in Milwaukee. He also earned his “Advanced Swiftie Dad” merit badge by tailgating with Rosie outside two (and was willing to do three…) Taylor Swift shows at Chicago’s Soldier Field. We visited several schools Lucy has been admitted to, notably Kalamazoo and Hope Colleges. In the fall, Jon and the girls camped in the Porcupine Mountains while Ann stayed back with the cats, home alone overnight for the first time in seventeen years. We acquired a third feline when Bingley a.k.a. Kirk followed Rosie home one day and stole all our hearts. Ann joined the choir at our church and then Jon joined, too—singing together is so much fun! We hope you have a merry Christmas, Hanukkah, Solstice, etc. and a peaceful, joyful, loving, hopeful (many adjectives apply, so you name it!) 2024!

I love it, Jon!! What a wonderful year!!
Congratulations to Ann on her 25 (years) at ICF!
I did not correctly guess your typewriter hobby, but I applaud it. I have one old one here that I am reluctant to get rid of…
Happy 2024!!
