A dental milestone

As the second-born, Rosie maybe isn’t getting *quite* as much detailed coverage on her various milestones as her big sister did. Of course we notice them, but we aren’t as exhaustively “recording dates”:/news/category/baby/the-lucy-files/ as we did in the past. But let us take note of this one, at least.

*September 28 — Rosie gets her first tooth.* Rosie’s been working on teething pretty hard all week (poor girl), and all that effort has finally paid off! We felt the sharp little edge of a tooth yesterday morning. (It’s the left mandibular central incisor, if you must know.) Plus, we think the one just to the right of it is not far behind. “As usual”:/news/2008/off-the-chart/, she’s a few months earlier than Lucy, who didn’t get her “first tooth”:/news/2007/first-tooth/ until she was nearly ten months old. Rosie was so fast that we didn’t even have time to launch a “contest”:/news/2006/contest-lucys-first-tooth/! These two girls are certainly keeping us on our toes.

  1. She’ll be chowing on prime rib before you know it ;)

We always told the kids that when they were getting their teeth in. That hard work definitely pays off when they get to start eating yummy stuff like avocado and banana.

  2. WOW! Madelyn got her first at 1 (actually on Christmas morning two and a half weeks before 1 year old) and Lydia is yet to get one at 7.5 months old. However just like sister she is geting surgery on her ears because we are great at having un-ending infections (70 days on antibiotics and 5 ear infections, arg).
How are night times going? How is the big bed with Lucy? How is potty-training? What are you doing in the ministry world? When do you have time to work? So many questions!!
