Bring it on
Today I had another midwife appointment — everything is looking good: weight, blood pressure, no swelling, etc. Jenny checked me and said I’m 1/2 cm dilated (better than nothing) and 80% effaced (which describes how thin my cervix is). These are good things! Plus, she noticed I was starting to have a bit of “bloody show,” which can sometimes mean that labor will be coming up in the next few days.
I feel glad that my body is doing something to start the process of baby-eviction. I was starting to worry that I would never go into labor on my own. I say, “bring it on!” We are as ready as we can be.
I’m just going to finish the laundry first. And maybe vacuum up the dust bunnies in the bedroom.
