So many people (including “many of you”:/news/2006/youd-be-cranky-too/#comment-442) have pointed out a family resemblance in Lucy. That is quite a compliment, since we think she is quite a beauty. Yesterday was one of those setbacks in our gradually smoother string of days with Lucy. She woke up demanding her first feeding at 3:10 AM (several hours earlier than usual), and then didn’t want to go back to sleep as she usually does. And it was more of the same all day long. Mama’s first outing
Everybody’s got to get out sometime. I’d been thinking about taking a little mommy break for several weeks now, and Jon has been encouraging me to do so. While I’ve gotten a few solo walks to the local coffee shop, I haven’t had the nerve to actually separate my breasts from this child for more than about an hour.
