We’ve stumbled on a new word: _barp._ This morning my tongue slipped and instead of “burp” out came “barp.” But Ann instantly realized how perfect it is for babies’ spitting up: half burp, half barf.
As it turns out, _BARP_ is also a common acronym for “blood and role-playing” games. And at least one other person has seen the gastrointestinal possibilities of the word, submitting _barp_ to the “Unwords Dictionary”:http://www.unwords.com/unword/barp.html. But we think it’s going to get a lot of mileage in “our household”:/news/2006/champion-drooler/.
Too cute. It’s always been called “urp” at our house.
