It turns out that our daughters like to make weird faces. Who doesn’t? And I’m fine with it, as long as they don’t scare me.
Rosie has just started experimenting with a crazy lip-biting fish-face, which she accompanies with smacking sounds and is slightly alarming. She is also working on sticking her tongue out and wiggling it around, which is much more traditional. At least I haven’t been actually frightened by her faces, as I was with Lucy.
When Lucy was about a year old, she started doing this crazy shivery face thing that really freaked me out. The first time, I thought she was having a seizure and subconsciously reached way back into my Catholic roots and crossed myself, praying that she was okay. It just turned out to be a weird face. We even took a video of it once, so we could show Dr. Minkus, but I don’t think we ever did show it to him, because we knew what he would say in his wisdom: “She’s just making a weird face. Don’t worry about it.”
That is way funny. Thank you for the laugh!
