I hope that the pretty sore finger gets well pretty soon.
Ah, yes, we should have reassured the viewing public: Lucy’s finger is not sore at all. It’s Papa’s finger that has been sore, but Lucy has sympathized and wanted to wear a finger protector, too.
And for the record, here’s a transcription of the dialog:

Lucy: “Lucy have a sore finger [protector that] protects Lucy’s sore finger.”
