Mission accomplished

More than seven months after Rosie’s birth, I am finally able to say, “I’ve reached my pre-pregnancy weight!”

I’ve been working pretty hard at losing the 32 pounds I gained during my pregnancy with Rosie. I thought it would melt away pretty easily, since I didn’t gain 50 pounds like I did with Lucy. But, alas, the old saying “nine months on, nine months off” is still quite true. And I’m glad it didn’t take “over a year”:/news/2007/weighing-in/ like it did after Lucy’s birth. I’ve been following the Weight Watchers plan for nursing moms since Rosie was “six weeks old”:/news/2008/packing-it-on/, and finally I’ve reached my goal! I promised myself a really nice pair of black pants from “J.Jill”:http://jjill.com/ once I got here. Of course, the ones I wanted were on sale a few weeks ago, so I bought them already — but today I can take the tags off and put them on!

  1. I am such a competitive person that when people say nine months on nine months off, I think, “not me I will beat that one”. How lame am I? Congrats on the weight loss. Have you figured out how to get rid of the tummy sag? That is what I hate (although it isn’t really much, I still would like the teenage skiny tight belly). ;-)
