Seven-eleven

We’re focusing on dates these days at BNN. The significance of today? It isn’t just the name of a well-known convenience store. Lucy turns eleven weeks old today, on the eleventh. Pretty spooky, huh?

This isn’t quite a golden birthday — that is usually celebrated when a person turns the age of their birth-date. So, Lucy’s golden birthday will be her 25th, since she was born on April 25. (April 25, 2031, can you believe it?) But nonetheless, perhaps this one calls for some other precious metal? Pewter? Bronze? Or perhaps just a milk-feast?

Attendant

The other significance of today: it is our friend Dora’s birthday. She fits in with the whole Lucy scheme because she attended Lucy’s birth. And she is a terrific friend. And she and Jon graduated from high school together. But, alas, she isn’t turning eleven today. Not even a multiple of eleven. I guess this is where the numbers game ends.
