It&#8217;s a 2023 Boyd Family Mad Lib!<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We started 2023 while on a _____&nbsp;(adj.) trip to _____&nbsp;(place). Soon after, we flew to _____&nbsp;(place) where Ann was honored for her 25 _____s (unit of time) with _____&nbsp;(organization). Rosie and Lucy turned _____&nbsp;(number) and _____&nbsp;(number) in the spring while they rehearsed and performed in the school musical, _____&nbsp;(old TV show). Jon&#8217;s love of _____&nbsp;(hobby) only increases; he and Lucy even attended a _____&nbsp;(number)-day _____&nbsp;(same hobby) festival in Milwaukee. He also earned his &#8220;Advanced Swiftie Dad&#8221; merit badge by _____&nbsp;(gerund) with Rosie outside _____&nbsp;(number) Taylor Swift shows at Chicago\u2019s _____&nbsp;(job) Field. We visited several schools Lucy has been admitted to, notably _____&nbsp;(town) and _____&nbsp;(abstract noun) Colleges. In the fall, Jon and the girls camped in _____&nbsp;(wilderness region) while Ann stayed back with the _____s (animal), home alone overnight for the first time in _____&nbsp;(number) years. We acquired a third feline when _____&nbsp;(pet name) followed Rosie home one day and stole all our _____s (organ). Ann joined the _____ (type of musical group) at our church and then Jon joined, too\u2014_____&nbsp;(gerund) together is so much fun! We hope you have a merry _____&nbsp;(holiday) and a _____&nbsp;(adj.) 2024!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The factual version<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We started 2023 while on an <strong>epic, amazing, best-ever<\/strong> (many adjectives apply, so you name it!) trip to <strong>London<\/strong>. Soon after, we flew to <strong>San Francisco<\/strong> where Ann was honored for her 25 <strong>years<\/strong> with <strong>InterVarsity Christian Fellowship<\/strong>. Rosie and Lucy turned <strong>15<\/strong> and <strong>17<\/strong> in the spring while they rehearsed and performed in the school musical, <strong>The Addams Family<\/strong>. Jon&#8217;s love of <strong>typewriting<\/strong> only increases; he and Lucy even attended a <strong>three<\/strong>-day <strong>typewriter<\/strong> festival in Milwaukee. He also earned his &#8220;Advanced Swiftie Dad&#8221; merit badge by <strong>tailgating<\/strong> with Rosie outside <strong>two (and was willing to do three\u2026)<\/strong> Taylor Swift shows at Chicago\u2019s <strong>Soldier<\/strong> Field. We visited several schools Lucy has been admitted to, notably <strong>Kalamazoo<\/strong>&nbsp;and <strong>Hope<\/strong>&nbsp;Colleges. In the fall, Jon and the girls camped in <strong>the Porcupine Mountains<\/strong>&nbsp; while Ann stayed back with the <strong>cats<\/strong>, home alone overnight for the first time in <strong>seventeen<\/strong>&nbsp;years. We acquired a third feline when <strong>Bingley a.k.a. Kirk<\/strong>&nbsp;followed Rosie home one day and stole all our <strong>hearts<\/strong>. Ann joined the <strong>choir<\/strong> at our church and then Jon joined, too\u2014<strong>singing<\/strong> together is so much fun!
