Twice. It was fantastic. Actually, I did it for the first time on Tuesday, but Mama wasn’t paying attention. I was happy on the bedspread taking some “tummy time,” she turned her back for a tick, and that’s when I got up some speed — and rolled it, baby! When she turned around, she realized she had missed something. Boy, did she ever! That was a good one.

Then yesterday, I added the back-to-front roll to my repertoire. I am so impressive, if I do say so myself. But that one was harder, so I don’t know if I’ll be doing it again very soon. I’m honest enough to admit there was at least a little luck involved in getting all the moving parts to go at the right time.

Anyhoo, now that I’ve got that rolling thing out of the way, I’m taking a breather. No more rolls for awhile. The ’rents keep trying to get me to do it again, but a girl’s gotta have her standards. I am not a performing monkey.

Speaking of monkeys, I have been rocking out with some wild contortionist antics these days. It’s all about my feet. I just love them. I want to grab them and chew on them all day long. So satisfying. (You’re all just jealous because you can’t do it anymore.) Mamacita and I sometimes have this conversation: “Lucy, why are your socks all wet?” “Oh, ’cause I’ve been licking them, Mama.” “Oh, okay, baby.” I especially enjoy putting my feet behind my ears when I’m getting my diaper changed. Feels good to air everything out, I must say!

p{color:gray}. Photo: “Hmm, what are those down there? Oh, feet! I _love_ feet! Must… grab… feet….”

I’ve also been really enjoying my hands. This is rather embarrassing, but I didn’t really understand that they were _both_ connected to my body until just this week. I’m really having a blast practicing my hand-grabbing-hand technique. Next week, Papa and I are going to work on throwing the curve ball.

Other than that, it’s pretty much same old, same old around here: eating, sleeping, watching cars. Mamacita’s been working up some pretty sweet games for us to play. Like this one, she sort of swing me back and forth saying, “La la la la.” It’s a riot! She looks really weird doing it, so I have to laugh. It’s totally “the milk.” (Help me out here, I’m trying to launch some new baby-slang, and I really like this one. What’s better than milk? Ding ding ding! That is _correct!_ Nothing! You can also use it as a normal adjective: “Mmmm, this swing is soooo milky.”)

Yo ho ho, I gotta buzz. Today’s Daddy-o’s _anniversaire_ (as they say in France) and I’m helping Mama out with the par-tay. Can you believe he is forty? With that baby face, I wouldn’t put him a day over six months.

peaceout,
Lulu

Yes, yes, the rumor is true: I rolled over the other day.
