She has not yet emerged. And I think I&#8217;ve finally figured out the right word for how this makes me feel.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Over the past couple days, especially as people ask, &#8220;How are you feeling?&#8221;, I&#8217;ve been trying to wrangle the turn of phrase that would sum up what it&#8217;s like to be where we are. None of the options I had thought of seemed quite right:<\/p>\n<p>* _anxious?_ no&#8230;<br \/>\n* _eager?_ not merely that&#8230;<br \/>\n* _irritated, annoyed,_ or _aggravated?_ no (at whom?)&#8230;<br \/>\n* _beside myself?_ a little too dramatic&#8230;<br \/>\n* _impatient?_ certainly, but that&#8217;s not quite right&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So what I think I am is just _antsy._ That conveys my sense of eagerness, impatience, inability to concentrate, and yes, also a bit of the immaturity of simply _not being able to wait!_ I hope I can stand it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Baby hit forty weeks yesterday.
