We know God loves the whole world (and we love it, too) &#8212; but we&#8217;ve definitely been glad to stay put. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In no particular order, here are some &#8212; but far from all &#8212; of the things we&#8217;re glad we&#8217;re not having to miss:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our Illinois license plate, &#8220;Gen 11&#8221; (the same plate as on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang)<\/li>\n<li>The Cubs and Wrigley Field<\/li>\n<li>Grandparents<\/li>\n<li>Our 1925 bungalow, &#8220;Saint Lou&#8221; (see video below)<\/li>\n<li>Dr. Minkus, the greatest pediatrician<\/li>\n<li>Christopher Miller, the greatest counselor<\/li>\n<li>The eight-blocks-to-a-mile grid<\/li>\n<li>Cesar and Hector, our UPS and mail men (respectively)<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Microchurch&#8221;:http:\/\/microchurch.org\/<\/li>\n<li>The Detholz and Baby Teeth<\/li>\n<li>The Chicago Public Library&#8217;s &#8220;newly powerful website&#8221;:http:\/\/chipubweb.org\/<\/li>\n<li>Real pizza<\/li>\n<li>No smoking in bars and restaurants by city ordinance<\/li>\n<li>Ann&#8217;s stylist and Jon&#8217;s barber (Manny at the Noyes Barbershop)<\/li>\n<li>The city flag (see video below)<\/li>\n<li>Potbelly&#8217;s Sandwich Works<\/li>\n<li>Walker Brothers Pancake House<\/li>\n<li>All the dearest friends!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We know many of you love Chicago, too. What would <em>you<\/em> add to this list?<\/p>\n<p>Finally, here&#8217;s a clip of us sitting on the front steps of &#8220;Saint Lou&#8221; under our Chicago flag.
