We’ve been wondering if Rosie would start toddling around before she reached her first birthday. And she beat that deadline by over two weeks! <\/p>\n
Rosie impressed us with her mobility from early on, even learning to “crawl”:\/news\/2008\/she-crawls\/ at six months (four full months earlier than Lucy did). I guess she’s got to keep up with her sister somehow!<\/p>\n
Lucy and I have been talking about Rosie learning to walk for some time now, anticipating that she will probably have the skill down pat in time for warm summer weather. “Lucy, in the summer,” I tell her, “you and Rosie can walk down the sidewalk holding hands. Won’t that be fun?” “Yeah,” says Lucy, “then Rosie won’t be scared.” Sounds good to me!<\/p>\n
And now she has done it! On Friday, Jon saw her take a set of five shuffling steps — and we were delighted. And then she kept repeating the trick so easily! So of course we had to catch some of these first steps on video. Here there are, captured within two hours of her first steps last Friday:<\/p>\n
