{"id":36,"date":"2006-04-13T14:15:36","date_gmt":"2006-04-13T19:15:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/boydsnest.org\/news\/2006\/36\/"},"modified":"2006-04-13T17:30:26","modified_gmt":"2006-04-13T22:30:26","slug":"waiting-and-learning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/boydsnest.org\/news\/2006\/waiting-and-learning\/","title":{"rendered":"Waiting and learning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To keep myself from going stir-crazy while we wait for labor to begin, I feel that I need to concentrate on a couple of new projects.<!--more--> Here are the ones at the top of the list:<\/p>\n<p>* working on a photo album from our first five years of marriage<br \/>\n* cleaning out and organizing the laundry room<br \/>\n* beginning to knit a sweater for Baby Girl<br \/>\n* writing a &#8220;book review&#8221;:\/news\/category\/reviews\/ every day at this site<br \/>\n* printing out the lyrics for a few favorite hymns, to use as lullabies and to help me connect with God in the harried first few weeks of parenthood<\/p>\n<p>I also want to remember to be thankful that we are waiting for something *joyous*. Our past couple of years of miscarriages have been tough with all the fear there has been in waiting and wondering if the pregnancy would &#8220;take.&#8221; But this is a new kind of waiting &#8212; like waiting for a Christmas that will descend upon us without much warning.
