Jane and Andy, our very good friends, have been in the adoption process for a few months. Yesterday morning, Jane got a call<!--more--> from their adoption agency asking if they would be willing to pick up a 2-day-old baby boy *the next day*. Quite a way to start the day!<\/p>\n<p>Jon and I are ecstatic that they have decided to adopt this baby boy. I keep crying every time I think of it. We are so glad that we&#8217;ll get to have babies grow up together. Another good friend of theirs has 11-month-old twins and is helping them get organized with necessary baby equipment, baby training, and baby skills. Jane put it mildly when she said, &#8220;The learning curve will be a bit steep.&#8221; I don&#8217;t think she or I could have imagined that we would be raising newborns at the same time!<\/p>\n<p>They just picked him up today, and he is adorable!
