It is hard to believe that I was still pregnant less than two months ago — it feels like it has been much longer! I was just thinking the other day about things that I remember from being 9+ months pregnant. Here is a quick list:<\/p>\n

I remember…<\/p>\n

* feeling Lucy kicking, wiggling, and doing yoga in my belly all day long
\n* worrying if I wasn’t feeling Lucy kicking, wiggling, or doing yoga
\n* trying really hard never to reveal the secret of Lucy’s name
\n* experiencing heartburn, especially at night
\n* having a slightly bloody nose most of the time
\n* needing to pee very, very often
\n* not being able to sleep on my back
\n* counting down the days until Lucy’s due date
\n* counting up the days after Lucy’s due date
\n* going for long walks trying to bring on labor
\n* waking up every morning and wondering, “Will today be Lucy’s birthday?”
\n* reading everything I could find about bringing on labor
\n* hoping my Braxton-Hicks contractions would turn into something more productive
\n* not wanting to drive anywhere very far for fear that I would suddenly go into labor
\n* having difficulty tying my own shoes
\n* having difficulty getting in and out of the car
\n* taking pictures of my belly every week<\/ul>\n

* moisturizing my belly every day after getting out of the shower
\n* having only a few shirts that would really fit over my belly
\n* Jon calling to Lucy several times each day, “Come out! Come out, Lucy!”<\/ul>\n

I really enjoyed being pregnant, but it was pretty emotionally exhausting during those last few weeks. I’m glad Lucy is out-and-about now, and I think she is glad too. It sure seems that way when she smiles at us!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
