Yet again this year, we are sending out a blank Mad Lib for the fun-loving among you to create your very own version of a Boyd holiday letter. But if you’re curious about the official version, read on.

h3. The factual version

This year Lucy, age 12, played Hooey the Parrot in a theatrical production of Dr. Seuss’s Oh Say Can You Say! Rosie, age 10, built a ukulele and learned to play it. She can’t stop doing back bends. Ann was elected chair of our church council and joined a writer’s circle. While on our second family trip to England, Jon steered us in a rented punt on the River Cam. He did it very badly.

We [honestly do] wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

h2. Alternate Photos

We had a hard time deciding on the photo to put on this year’s Christmas card. What do you think of these, instead?

  1. How I wish we could have seen Lucy, age 337, play Richard Nixon in a theatrical production of Steven King’s “The Snowy Day”! I hope her Parrot performance was equally enjoyable. Thanks for the fun postcard once again!

  2. We enjoy receiving your photo card. But we often can’t read the link due to the post office slashes. I tried three addresses and finally figured it out. I was listening to the Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols as I read that you were on the River Cam! We’re off to U18; soon it will be time for Lucy to go! :)
