Yes, absolutely. Big in every way, actually: in size, in language, in mobility, in energy, in filling the whole house when she’s active. She went instantly from seeming like “our little baby girl” to seeming like a young lady. (Well, maybe not a “lady”….)
What a wonderful gift to wake up to. Lucy helping to care for Roz and both simply shining in the sunlight. Life doesn’t get any better that this and Grandma and I thank you for the best gifts of all. We send you our love…
That was the most amazing revelation for me when we brought Mo home. Kaia went from baby to child instantly. (unfortunately she’s back to temper tantrums, so seems more baby to me again)
Beautiful photo! I forget how small babies are, until I see the hand under Rosie’s head!
I had the same impression about diapering a newborn, then a toddler. Josi was such a skinny baby at first, it seemed like I was diapering an elbow. And of course I was SO ready for Abi to be potty-trained. She had another timeline, however. Oh, well. Now they are both turning into little ladies.

So sweet. Does Lucy seem gigantic to you now?

Optical illusion, Tysa! That’s actually Ann’s hand coming in from the left, helping Lucy support Rosie. (But babies really are tiny, of course.)

When I brought Jake home, and had to still change Eli’s diaper, Eli’s butt seemed adult-sized!
