Balanced balloon
A video Daily Boydling, shot May 3, 2008.
This is a strange little video, I admit, but let it grow on you. It was shot with my Samsung cell phone (hence the poor resolution, low frame rate, crappy sound, and short duration — sigh), but it caught Lucy at a moment when there wasn’t time to run for the fancy camera. It’s a 1.1 MB download and runs 0’14”.
Although it may look as if it’s shot in slow motion, it isn’t. The pink balloon had lost a lot of helium overnight, and it was very nearly balanced — its weight just barely exceeding its buoyancy. So if Lucy gave it the slightest touch, it would loft lazily up before lazily drifting down again.
Note: If you can’t see the video, you may simply need to update your free QuickTime plugin.

So fun! You are capturing those lovely innocent child-hood moments! (And capturing my heart with them! ;) cheese!) I love it!
