OK, you have me this time! Who is Tim? Who is Emily? I can certainly understand why new people are being created to admire my lovely granddaughter, but I feel the need to be on the same page when new names pop up like this. Have I been asleep and missed the last century or so? (Please say it isn’t so.) Nice shirt, too.

Tim is the brother of Ann’s late father, Nevin, and Emily is one of Tim’s daughters. (That is, for those keeping score, Tim is uncle to Ann, so Emily is Lucy’s first cousin once removed, strictly speaking.)
