Ohhh, Lucia,
I can feel those new teeth forming under your fingers! It is a big help that you can get so many fingers in at one time to spread the pleasure – it seems you must have learned that from you papa.

Grandma and I are eagerly looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, orange rolls and all. The days now are very full, indeed, with Violet’s birthday #2 just completed yesterday, Uncle Jim’s #42 a week ago, and your daddy’s BIG #40 just ahead of us. The days are full. Life is good. And I assure you that you and cousin Violet make it even better for me. You are in my heart and I send you my love…
