We have a winner
We have a winner in the fabulous Lucy’s Umbilical Cord Stump Drop Off Contest! During a diaper change just now, the little nubbins of dried cartilage fell away — so with an astounding guess that was off by only 1 hour and 45 minutes…
Allie wins the grand prize! She’ll get to choose the photo of her choice that’s appeared here at BNN to be autographed and personalized by Lucy herself (or someone with at least half her genetic material), as well as a CD-ROM with cute movie clips of Lucy making faces, sleeping, and breathing cutely.
Our two runners up are: Uncle Jim and Jimmy for their guesses with an error of less than half a day. They too will receive an autographed glossy of their choice.
(Because of my error when originally calculating and posting the results, Anne with an E will also receive the prize originally published as hers.)

Um, good point. Actually, it has not been 11 days! :( I’m afraid my calculations as originally posted were wrong. Sorry for the confusion! The main post is now correct. (But Anne — you’ll still get your prize, since that was cruel of me to publish incorrect results.)

Well, you’re super-nice, Anne, but the fact is Eric is the boyfriend of Allie, the new grand-prize winner — so he’ll have ample opportunity to enjoy the prize already. :)

Indeed, i like Allie’s apartment better than my own anyway, so I will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy the goods.

Having won the British and Australian Umbilical Drop Off Contests, I am upset at having just missed the Triple Crown. Still, I still get that glossy!
